The weather has improved, so I'm playing more D3 right now. I went back to my Barbarian I was playing when the game came out a couple of years ago. It's good enough fun for right now, but I can tell it will fade quickly unless something else comes along in the game. After all, I "finished" the game on the lowest level, which is about all I do most of the time.

Transition Time
My recreation time is changing right now. WoW has lost me for a couple of reasons, so it's time to go with a new look for the blog and see if I can't post more.
Yesterday, I canceled my WoW subscription after about 3 years. The two primary reasons are my hands and my interest. When my hands hurt to play the game (amplified by the winter cold) and I'm wishing I had time to play more thoughtful, strategy games, you know it's time to give up the ghost. It also didn't hurt that at the moment, I'm not really connected to my guild and the game was quickly becoming a solo endeavor. Sure not paying $15/month to play a game solo.
So, what am I doing with my gaming time now? Well, I'm still playing OOTP 14. It's the 2015 season and August is wrapping up. So, in a month or so, it'll be time for another playoff run for the Islanders.
I'm also playing a ton of NASCAR with my 2 year old son. Honestly, that is the game that beats up my hands. However, how can you turn down a toddler that says "Daddy- racecar! crash! spin around!"? So, I play that one on the easy setting so I can win and "spin around". It's not a bad game, but I'd have given it up long ago on my own.
I'm also jumping back into XCOM. It's turn-based, which really helps my hands and it's playable in short stretches, which helps with the family life. So far, I'm just starting, but it's good so far.
Other games, I'm looking to get into are Crusader Kings 2 again along with Shadow Run Returns. Also, while I haver Amular on my PS3, I may wait until the NASCAR phase wears off before pushing it too hard.
